Exciting Contest by Decor Destination!

Décor Destination is not just your average home décor store in Bangalore. It’s a wonderful reflection of its owners–cum-husband-wife duo of Sreedhar and Ruchi’s aesthetic sensibilities and their love and passion for beautiful interiors. While Sreedhar quit his full-time consultancy job in 2013 to follow his dreams in the unorganised home décor retail space, Ruchi chips in with creative inputs on the décor accents and the furniture from time to time, in addition to heading the financial operations of a company!

Sreedhar realised the potential of affordable yet classy retail furniture-cum-home décor sector targeting the middle and upper middle class of the Bangalore market a couple of years ago; (that’s before other online furniture-cum-decor brands stormed the marketplace!) and that’s when he launched the first Décor Destination store in Indiranagar. After the success of his first store, another one came up in JP Nagar a few months down the line. Both the stores are doing quite well and enjoy loyal clientele. The couple has envisioned more stores in Pune and Chennai in the next couple of years and eventually in Mumbai and Delhi, looking at a pan India presence few years down the line.

Décor Destination showcases an excellent melange of furniture (which by the way is carved out of solid wood only – teak, acacia and sheesham) and home décor accents (decent mix of Indian traditional, oriental, contemporary, and fusion). He sources most of the artefacts and furniture from across India – Annamalai, Pondicherry, Jaipur, Moradabad, and New Delhi and from Nepal, Tibet, Bali, and Sri Lanka as well. He plans to introduce exquisitely handcrafted accents from Turkey, Mexico, and Marrakesh soon! Take a look at their awesome range:

Most of the furniture and accessories in the store such as sideboards, bar cabinets, Tibetan masks and statuettes are unique and treasured pieces while the more common items such as wooden hand-painted mirrors and photo frames are re-stocked as per the requirement. Sreedhar also provides customised interiors for both residential and commercial clients and he has executed many such projects successfully. Decor Destination has also recently opened its doors to the inmygarden team – a garden accessories firm. We wish them the very best for a bright future! You can visit their stores at these locations in Bangalore:

  1. #715, 1st Main, 1st Stage, 1st Cross, Indiranagar
  2. #546, 9th Cross, 3rd Phase, J P Nagar
